Lecce

Lecce approached the start of the season as one of the main candidates for relegation, but Marco Baroni’s team managed to put this status into question. In the first round, the yellow-reds looked more than solid, scoring a decent number of points and did not allow themselves to fall into the relegation zone. The competitors who fell into a crisis right away certainly helped, but the efforts of the team deserve credit as well. In the second half of the season, “Lecce” slowed down – the lack of a quality reserve affected, there was no one to replace the injured key players. Currently, the yellow-reds are in 16th place in the table with 28 points and a two-point lead over the relegation zone – the team cannot afford to make more mistakes. In the last round, “Lecce” lost 0-2 to “Milan”, extending their winless streak to eight matches.

Udinese

Udinese looked more than solid in the first half of the season – Andrea Sottil’s team played a few bright matches and, in general, was characterized by stability. The Zebras even managed to reach the top four, but could not consolidate their position there – the team fell into a crisis that led to a drop to the lower half of the table and the chance to fight for the Conference League was missed. At the moment, Udinese occupies the ninth place in the table with 42 points in the asset, lagging behind sixth-placed Inter by 12 points – it will be impossible to play off such a handicap. Even to the seventh line, which can only theoretically become European, is lacking by 10 points. In the last round, Udinese defeated Cremonese 3-0, thus ending a series of three games without a win.
