The Gujarat Titans had four days off after their win in Qualifier 1 and couldn't wait to compete again. We don't think their squad will change for the IPL 2022 finals and the same players will be back on the field. If there is a change to consider here, it could be bringing Lockie Ferguson back to the team in place of Wade.

There was a lot of pace and some seam movement during Qualifier 2 and that's to be expected for this match as well.

Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya and David Miller are responsible for scoring in this match. All three of these players were in great form and are very good against fast bowling. Sure, Saha, Wade and the finishers will also play a role, but GT will need someone to carry their stick through the inning like Buttler did for RR.

One of the most important fights in this match will be Miller vs. Chahal. So far, Miller has 35 runs in 23 balls against Chahal, but has also been eliminated three times in that span. Hardik Pandya has a pretty good head-to-head record against Ashwin, Boult and even Chahal so he could be someone you can bet on to get runs in this match.

GT's specialty has been winning games in the last over, seven such wins so far and their racquets' ability to play trumps under pressure is a huge advantage.

For the bowlers, Rashid Khan will be the focus. He passed Jos Buttler 30 balls and took him out 4 times while conceding only 18 runs. This could, in our opinion, be the competition that will determine the outcome of this game.

RR is a superbly constructed T20 team and have shown their ability to adapt to a range of different conditions. We think the fast and seam-friendly conditions at Ahmedabad have been very good for the type of cricket played there. His bowlers were able to get help with the new ball and the batsmen used the pace to keep pushing the boundaries.

Of course, the absolutely brilliant season played by Jos Buttler must also contribute to this. With 824 runs and four centuries this season, Buttler could very well break the record for most centuries in an IPL season. However, he will have to get past Rashid Khan and we saw how he outplayed him last time without much risk, that could be the case this time too.

RR has gotten some excellent cameos from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Devdutt Padikkal and Shimron Hetmyer, but without Buttler to muddle through they could be in trouble. We wouldn't rule out Ashwin coming in as a pinch hitter to extend the batting lineup just a little.

Overall, both teams' batting rosters are very closely aligned, but RR's reliance on Buttler is a bit risky.

Bowling Attack for RR will be key in this match. Prasidh Krishna loved the help he got from the surface in Qualifier 2 which was quite difficult to manage. With the new ball he gets a steep jump and movement and could be back in the gates. Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, R. Ashwin and Obed McCoy make a great bowling lineup.
